Annotation

Alexandre Vertinsky (1889-1957) – le grand auteur-interprete  russe , idole de la première moitié du XXe siècle. Ses concerts ont eu lieu dans de nombreux pays européens et aux États-Unis. Il a intepreté  ses chansons uniquement en russe. Vertinski connaissait bien Greta Garbo, Charly Chaplin et Marlène Dietrich. En Pologne, Vertinski est venu de Roumanie. Ici on connaissait deja ses romances et ses chansons. Même il y avait déjà la traduction de ses oeuvres en polonais. Il considérait la Pologne comme sa deuxième patrie.  Son sejour en Pologne a duré de 1923 à 1927. La période polonaise a été la plus active de sa vie artistique. À partir de 1923, Vertinski a donné commencé à Varsovie et dans tout le pays: à Lodz, Cracovie, Poznan et Belostok. Il a  fait quelques  concerts juste avant son départ pour les États-Unis à l’automne 1934.

Vertinsky and Poland

Alexander Vertinsky (1889–1957) – the great Russian artist,  „pop idol” of the first half of the XX century. His concerts  took place in many European countries and  USA. He performed songs only in Russian.  Vertinsky was well acquainted with Greto Garbo, Charly Chaplin, Marlene Dietrich.In Poland Vertinsky lived from 1923 to 1927. This time was the most active in his artistic life. Vertinsky came to Poland from Romania, and his romantic songs were  already known here: theywere even translated to Polish.  The artist concidered Poland as his second Motherland. From 1923, Vertinsky´s concerts started in Warsaw and other places in the country: in Lodzi, Kraków, Poznan and Belostok.
