Annotation 

En 1835 Avraam Norov, écrivain et homme politique, a effectué son premier voyage en Orient. Il a exprimé l’idée qu’Atlantis ne pourrait pas se trouver dans l’océan Atlantique, mais dans la partie orientale de la Meditérranée. Il   a eu l’occasion de se rendre à Chypre à son retour de la Terre sainte. Lorsqu’il est parti de Beyrouth, il a atteint la côte de Limassol à bord d’un navire.

Abraham Norov

In 1835 Abraham Norov made his first journey to the East. He articulated the idea that Atlantis could not be in the Atlantic Ocean, but was in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, occupying the area between Cyprus, Sicily and Lesbos, and that the remains of Atlantis exist as the island of Cyprus. Norov had the opportunity to visit Cyprus during his return from the Holy Land, as his ship reached the coast of Cyprus near Limassol.
